We regret to announce that ChildMentalHealth.ca has been permanently discontinued.
This decision was made following a review of our obligations to maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for personal health information in accordance with Alberta privacy legislation and applicable national standards.
Although we believe the website was originally designed with appropriate safeguards to protect health information, increasingly sophisticated cybersecurity threats have made maintaining those safeguards significantly more complex and costly.
Important Privacy Information
We are not aware of any security breach or compromise of the safeguards established to protect user information. However, the evolving threat environment has led us to the difficult decision to discontinue the website.
We recognize that ChildMentalHealth.ca has been a valuable resource for healthcare professionals and has contributed to improving the care of children and youth. We sincerely regret the impact this closure may have on clinical workflows.
User Data and Records Requests
All user information has been handled in accordance with our privacy policy, which registered users acknowledged and accepted.
User data has been securely archived and retained temporarily.
